Are you open for night skiing?

Nope -- we are done night skiing for the season.

Do you sell SnoPark passes?

Nope.

Where can I get a SnoPark Pass?

At the Ranger Stations in North Bend or Cle Elum. At the Forest Service Information Center at Summit West. (we have been told this may not happen this year -- call first)You can also get them at many sporting goods stores. (Be aware -- government offices are closed on federal holidays. On weekends and some holidays there is a state park ranger at the John Wayne Trail who will sell you a snopark pass.

Where can I go sledding at the Pass?

You can go sledding at the John Wayne Trail Snow Park.

Do you have any beginner trails?

Yes, we do -- we have two kilometers of beginner trails around the lodge. But the best bet for beginners is to climb up to the Cold Creek Trail. The Nesting Bird Yurt is located 4.2 kilometers out and is a good turn around point for a tired skier. The trail continues out to 5.6 kilometers. Here the trail starts to climb and beginner terrain is left behind. The trail continues around Mt. Catherine. If you have a snow park permit you can also access the John Wayne Trail, railroad grade flat for over 20 kilometers.

What's a yurt?

This is a yurt. Our yurt is not on green grass, but rather white snow.

Where is the yurt?

The yurt is 4.2 Kilometers out on the Cold Creek Trail. We will be taking it in the week of April 1.

How many times can I ride the chair up?

Twice.

Why should only "experts" ride the lower chair(Easy Gold)?

Because the exit ramp is very steep and the downhill traverse to the Keechelus Chair is quite difficult for anyone on Nordic Skis.

How do I get down from the upper trails.

You can ski down three different ways (intermediate) or you can ride the chair down (download) from 12:00 to 12:30 and for 15 minutes before the chair closes (closing time is posted on the notice board when you load the chair). You can only download on Keechelus Chair.

What's your policy for pets?

We love them, but they are not allowed on the trial system or in the area around the lodge. If you want to ski or snowshoe with your dog there is the nearby Gold Creek SnoPark. You can rent here -- ski or snowshoe there.

Can I also ride Silver Fir?

You can ride Silver Fir. However, Nordic tickets are only sold at the Nordic Center. Silver Fir will not upload or download snowshoers, or download Nordic Skiers.

Is the Warming Hut in yet.

Yup. -- But it will be coming out as soon as we can get to it after March 31.
